Extraordinary individuals; unexpected stories. Meet the people around the world using Craft to elevate everyday life.
In November 2020, the first version of Craft was launched.
In the two short years since, we’ve been fascinated and humbled by the thousands of people who have contacted us to share how (and where) they are using Craft.
Their stories go well beyond our original intentions for Craft. People from all over the world are using it in ways we never could have foreseen.
Craft has grown into more than just a tool. Craft has become a global community of people doing creative, refreshing, thought-provoking - and often unexpected - things. And through these things, we’ve gathered an insight into the fascinating backstories of the People of Craft.
To celebrate Craft’s second birthday we wanted to share some of those stories, in honor of the people behind them.
In this curated selection, we present four inspiring accounts of people who are doing intriguing work, in interesting places.
We hear from:
Doug: a documentary filmmaker who - after a decade - finally found the story he’d been seeking, in a fisherman’s fight against industrial trawling in Scotland.
Anita: an ex-Apple creative who hit rock-bottom with burnout, but is now reviving her life by building a fourteen-acre retreat in the foothills of California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.
Sudip: a Nepali healthcare expert in Kathmandu, working to improve the lives of millions in his Himalayan home.
And Raphael: an LA creative who dropped out of law school to start a branding agency and never looked back.
These are just four of the thousands of inspirational backstories from the People of Craft. There are many more we plan to tell.
We hope you enjoy them as much as we did,
The Craft Team
