How to Connect Craft to Codex with MCP
Step-by-step guide to connect Craft documents to Codex via MCP. Read, search, and update your notes directly from Codex.
Adding an MCP Connector in Codex
Create a new connector in Codex and use the MCP URL to connect the two services.
Step 1
Open Codex and click the menu in the top-left corner. Select "Settings" from the dropdown.
Step 2
In the Settings sidebar, select "MCP servers". Click the "+ Add server" button under Custom servers.
Copy this URL and paste it into the URL field:
https://mcp.craft.do/my/mcpStep 3
Enter "Craft" as the name, select "Streamable HTTP" as the transport type, and paste the MCP URL into the URL field. Click "Save".
Step 4
Back on the MCP servers page, the Craft server now appears under Custom servers. Click "Authenticate" to connect your Craft account.
Step 5
A browser window will open showing the Craft authorization page. Select the space you want to connect and click "Approve" to grant access.
You can now ask Codex about your documents, and even have them updated. Try something like this to get started:
